Yorkshire Elf @Yorkshireelf
Gilly Dukes @ginko_girly
One of the hardest working women in cycling, Gilly is either riding it, fixing it, teaching others how to ride it or taking turns with her husband Pete to race it while the other takes their son to race.
Gary Jackson – Gary is another Huddersfield Star Wheeler, as happy on the road as in the mud. Always with a smile, even when he seems to always come home with blooded knees!
Emma Osenton – @waterrat77
Kinesis-Morvelo team rider, happy as long as I’m riding. An incomer from the South and resident of Hebden Bridge for 9 years.
Ruth Hair – @walkandridefest
I am a diver not a rider. I am terrified at the thought of riding a bike every day for 30 days. I am a novice. I have no balance. I have no lycra. I do however have a bike, recently purchased in pre-TDF enthusiasm – it looks lovely in my garage. Do I really have to get on it? Can’t we all do 30 days of diving instead – now THAT would be fun!
Hannah Dobson – @1fishonabike
I think I’m quite good at having a go at biking things, but a lot less good at actually doing the training required to do them again better. The one thing I do quite consistently well is pull a trailer and child(ren) up big hills. Past follies include City Cross (Piece Hall), Up the Buttress, Crown Point & Nick O’Pendle Hill Climbs, Season of Mists 100km Audax, and trying to combine 100km+ rides with romantic weekends away.
