Day two. In search of the Bronte’s

From the bad weather we’ve had of late, a sunny day feel like a treat and when the wind drops too it’s extra special.

I ventured from Hebden Bridge, via Haworth Old Road, down Stairs Lane before heading back over the moors past Withering Heights.

I watched the birds dancing in the sky, shouting to each other and swooping about. I watched rabbits running full pelt down the dams, I wonder if they just do it for fun?

Such a funny landscape is ours. It looks so wild and untouched, then you notice huge pieces of engineering hiding in the tussocks. Massive sluice gates, old engineering mixed with new.
