One of the problems with bike racing is that you have to train. I’m not the strongest rider in the world so have to spend quite a bit of time doing strength sessions.

Today’s ‘ride’ was on the turbo – inverted pyramid intervals, efforts in the hardest gear then a minute off with the intervals interleaving as short or long (see the picture).

I’m filled with dread when it pops up on the plan as it’s leg wobblingly tough, particularly the 6 and 5 at the end, but at least it’s done for this week!
