A great day for cycling today. Spring finally felt like it had arrived proper!
A trip over the border to Lancashire to explore the trails across the Pennine Way between Littleborough & Huddersfield – and it was glorious. First sightings of bumble bees, curlews, swifts, and loads of brand new baby lambs. 4 1/2 hrs in the saddle, and many hills climbed. And the scenery, once again was spectacular.
I got home, with that tired and nice glow, and my son Alistair said “can we go out on the bikes?!” So we did again – onto the canal paths, and a bomb around the old speedway track I’d been telling him about, bringing his friend too.
So a full day’s biking on a warm day. Fabulous.
